The Communications Board at LC State is composed of students, faculty and staff along with community volunteers for the purpose of providing a guidance for the college’s student media entities.

LCWR is a student operated college station broadcasting a freeform format. LCWR has sampled from a variety of often very different genres. Licensed to Lewiston, Idaho, United States, the radio serves the Lewiston area. The station is currently owned by Lewis-Clark State College.

For over 25 years, Lewis-Clark State College’s student-run literary journal, Talking River Review, has featured creative work by some of this country’s best contemporary writers of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.

Past contributors include Steve Almond, Kim Barnes, Mary Clearman Blew, Sherwin Bitsui, Judy Blunt, Michael Earl Craig, Claire Davis, David James Duncan, Stephen Dunn, Gary Fincke, Pete Fromm, Jim Harrison, Patricia Henley, B.J. Hollars, William Johnson, William Kittredge, Dorianne Laux, Lee Martin, Michael Martone, Ron McFarland, Neide Messer, Brenda Miller, Lia Purpura, Alberto Rios, Rob Schlegel, Michael Wasson, Joe Wilkins, and Robert Wrigley, among others.

Talking River Review is published biannually by the Associated Students of Lewis-Clark State College (ASLCSC). Subscriptions are $10 per year (which includes two issues) and back issues are $10 each.

Students who enroll in the 4-credit class and/or participate as a club activity publish an issue of TRR each semester. This is a fun unpaid internship opportunity where students learn the ins and outs of publishing a literary journal.
