September Social Work Club Meeting

Hello fellow social work club members and social work students! We hope you are adjusting to the new semester and finding a balance with classes, studying, and life.

If you are receiving this email, it is because you are a registered Students of Social Work Club member, and we want to connect!

Our next meeting is THIS Wednesday, September 16th at 5:45 pm (PDT)/ 6:45 pm (MST). We will be planning our upcoming workshop, exploring peer-support group topics, planning for our fall fundraising, and preparing for FRESH CHECK DAY!

We would love for you all to join us in fostering community within our social work cohort, regardless of where you live in Idaho. This meeting is online, and all are welcome!

The club would also like to commit to having a table at FRESH CHECK DAY, but we need volunteers to help. We are asking all social work students who live near the main campus in Lewiston to volunteer to staff it. If you are a SW club member, this counts as service hours and is an extremely fun and informative event. If you are interested, please respond to this email or reach out to Professor Loudenback for more information on how to volunteer for this event!

Fresh Check Day is an engaging and uplifting mental health promotion event that happens every year on college campuses across the nation. 

It is a peer-centered interactive event with booths, a positive atmosphere, and giveaways. 

Learn more about mental health and how we can support each other. 

The event location is the Lewiston main campus on LAWN FIRE LN
